*Nonstop* Iceland — $300s/$400s (RT, bags extra) May – Mar
Great deal to Iceland for those of us who don’t have time for layovers. A few routes even include some availability over Xmas, NYE or peak summer.
Keep in mind that these are Economy Light fares. You still get a carry-on (up to 22lbs and total dimensions of 45 inches) and a personal item, but a checked bag will be $95 in each direction. Here is more info. All prices roundtrip.
Travel tip: “About 30 minutes by car from Reykjavik is the Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River. You need to hike for almost an hour to reach the river, but it’s in a beautiful valley. Soaking in the geothermal river is a fun way to relax in a scenic outdoor setting rather than just lounging in a man-made “hot spring” pool.” (Thanks SCF subscriber James W. for the tip!)
