Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager (Consumer; Remote)

Why we’re hiring for this role now:

As the world's favorite cheap flight alert platform we're constantly looking for ways to improve our members' experience. By hiring a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager we will be able to improve the experience for our members, thus helping the business become more successful through increased revenue, LTV, and referrals.

What you'll work on:

As Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager you will own the member journey for our 1.5M+ members across messaging channels to drive activation, retention and referrals. You will take a data-driven approach to creating and optimizing campaigns, automations, A/B tests, segmentation and continual data analysis and experimentation.

Sample projects and areas of responsibility:

  1. Develop strategy and drive execution of campaigns and messages for the activation, upgrade, retention, referral, upsell/cross-sell and win-back portions of the user lifecycle through a combination of email, website messaging, social media, in-app messaging, push notifications, surveys, etc.
  2. Leverage personalization to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time based on their persona, geography, preferences, and other attributes.
  3. Identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase conversions through various channels (email, push, in-app messages, etc.).
  4. Create, review, and edit copy to ensure it stays on brand, delights members, and contributes positively to our goals.
  5. Optimize existing marketing campaigns and create new campaigns with A/B tests on subject lines, content, audience segmentation, etc.
  6. Analyze the data to identify the key wow moments and drop-offs in the customer journey and identify opportunities to engage our members with targeted messaging.
  7. Collaborate with the Product team to support the launch of new products and features, and ensure the necessary tools are in place for analytics, testing, and automation.
  8. Collaborate with our marketing designer to deliver high quality and on-brand messages and marketing materials.
  9. Launch and manage the Scott’s Cheap Flights referral program.
  10. Run and monitor reports on the various lifecycle marketing initiatives.

Success in this role looks like:

At Scott's Cheap Flights, we measure success by outcomes, not output. A successful Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will increase our member satisfaction and success with our platform, as measured by:

  • Increase customer retention and reduce churn
  • Increase revenue from emails and other messaging channels including in-app, push, and social
  • Increase upgrades to our Premium membership
  • Track and increase referrals from existing members
  • Reduce email unsubscribe and bounce rates

Our ideal candidate has:

  1. Proven expertise and track record of driving revenue through marketing automation tools to create multi-step lifecycle automation, nurture campaigns, and complex customer journeys.
  2. Excellent creativity, sense of visual design, customer orientation, and ability to craft compelling copy that leads to high-converting emails, push notifications, and other marketing messages.
  3. Strong analytical, data modeling, and SQL abilities.
  4. Self-starter and able to own various initiatives from start to finish.
  5. Experience developing and executing A/B tests and translating the results into valuable business insights.
  6. Outcome driven and comfortable developing long term goals to track and improve performance.
  7. Experience working in a startup environment that requires flexibility and continuous innovation.
  8. Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and functions within the company including product, marketing, and design.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Extensive knowledge of various email systems and best practices including dynamic lists, dynamic content, automations, HTML, and CSS.
  11. Ability to put yourself in the customers' shoes to deliver high-value marketing materials.
